MODULAR SHOE IDEA

The  idea of the modular shoe was born out of the idea that you can have a customizable shoe with multiple combinations and replaceable parts. The idea is to allow the user to have their say on how their shoe is customized, whether that’s different strap combinations or adding a heel. This idea was born out of observing not only the wasteful and expensive footwear industry but also observing ‘micro trends’ in fashion and how algorithmic suggestions mean a lot of us start to dress the same. The modular shoe allows people to make their own combinations where the 3D printed soles have set locations that the other parts can clip onto accordingly.

The idea is that a database could be created with replaceable parts as well as new designs each season which can be purchased to fit your sole.  Can a shoe be fun and stylish whilst not needing to be bought every 6 months?

This project is currently  being worked on and developed.
