After studying Fine Art for a year at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, Sophie went on to complete her architecture degree at The Bartlett (UCL). Her background in architecture has strongly influenced her approach to design, grounding her work in both conceptual thinking and technical precision.

Through her studies, she developed a wide range of skills, from meticulous model-making to contemporary manufacturing processes such as 3D printing and 3D visualisation. Her design methodology consistently treads a fine line between crafting well-made objects and experimenting with new techniques of making, with an emphasis on playfulness, material exploration, and experimentation.

Sophie is particularly interested in a multidisciplinary approach to design, focusing on the crossover between fashion, set design, events, and music, as well as footwear and accessories.

She has worked on and assisted with a variety of projects, including roles as an art assistant on short films, set designer for music videos and fashion shoots, and most recently as a design assistant producing technical drawings and renders. Learning to balance strong design with practical production constraints, including budgets and tight timelines, has been key to ensuring these projects reach their full potential.

Sophie is currently based in New York City, where she is completing a Master’s degree in Industrial Design at Parsons School of Design.
